The revised Lion designs for the new Voltron Force cartoon... I LOVE them! They've all been individualized a bit more than they used to be, they've been streamlined and the Black is the only one that's noticeably different size now (more on that later). They seem to be slightly bigger than the originals, but how much of that is down to the change in animation style is hard to say. And of course, each Lion's unique relationship to a different aspect of Planet Arus' geography/environment is made more obvious in their respective strengths and weaknesses, and each has been outfitted with a different weapon its tail module.
The Red and Blue Lions have sprouted wings, too, presumably as an indication of their pilots' higher ranking relative to the Green and Yellow pilots. The sleek Blue Lion (or Lioness?) is still my favourite, but the Black is MUCH improved, it looks far more powerful and lordly than the old design (though of course, in-story they're the same Lion). I'm still loving the Green, and the Yellow is now the most different-looking, with its enlarged, masculine lower jaw, cracked eye/window and heavyset frame. I'm not so keen on the sharp angles and low posture of the Red, but it's not so bad and it seems to suit new-Lance. And all together, they make one very sleek and sexy Voltron :)
